Timothy Ray Rader

Timothy Ray Rader, "Tim," age 64 of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1960 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Wyona Rader.

Tim is an Army veteran who served in Germany and Georgia. Following his honorable discharge, he spent the next 12 years in the Army Reserves. He was an accomplished musician who started singing and playing guitar at 6 years old. He enjoyed his job as a papermaker and in his free time, he liked to buy, refurbish and sell guitars and amps. Most importantly, Tim was strong in his faith and loved the Lord.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Beth; brother, Mark (Linda) Rader; sister, Elizabeth Wells; daughters, Andrea (Steve) Marshall and Emily Rader (Josh Miller); step-children, Jill McCandless (David Blount) and Ethan McCandless; grandchildren, Ayden, Isabella, Cohen, and Hudson, Harper; step-grandchildren, Colton and Silas; mother-in-law, Barbara Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Jeff (Sandy) Hamilton and their daughter, Isabelle; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Day City Hospice and the Dayton VA Hospital for their compassion and care.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Butler County Memory Gardens with military honors.
