Timothy Paul Mills, "Tim," age 57 of Franklin, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was born February 25, 1966 in Albany, New York, the son of the late Paul and Julia Mills.
Tim grew up in Canada and graduated from F. E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham, Ontario and attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. At Geneva College, he met and eventually married his wife Rebecca, whom he faithfully loved for 32 years. Tim obtained his Masters Degree in chemistry at the University of Kentucky. He worked for 4 years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, and then took a job at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati where he worked for 25 years. Tim had an adventuresome spirit, and loved to bike, camp, hike, fish, build, play soccer, and generally initiate activities to do with others. Tim loved his family, and later in life reunited with his birth mother and siblings. Tim was also a faithful Christian, having actively participated in the churches he attended and their various ministries.
Tim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rebecca; children, Benjamin (Rachel) Mills, Tessa (Ryan) Teierle, and Rachel Mills; granddaughters, Lena Mills and Isabel Mills; birth mother, Patricia Hust; siblings, Elizabeth (Robert) Siletzky, Esther (John) Brennan, Martha (David) Schwartz, Geoff (Tracy) Hust, Andy (Kate) Hust, Kara (Karl) Leslie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at South Dayton Presbyterian Church (1180 E. Alex Bell Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:00 am, also at the church. Burial will follow in Miami Corwin Cemetery.
