Timothy David "Bear" Gustin, 71, of Wilmington, formerly of Middletown, passed away June 21, 2018.
He was born March 19, 1947 in Middletown, Ohio to William Franklin and Viola (Fitzpatrick) Gustin. David was a Navy Veteran proudly serving our country during the Vietnam War. He received a Letter of Commendation for his brave service as a Firefighter during the time of the USS Forrestal fire in 1967. He was an artist and meticulous craftsman. Some of his many talents include: carpentry/wood working, upholstery, mechanics, playing guitar, and drawing. David was known and loved for his intelligence, convictions and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Gustin.
He is survived by his daughter, Charla (Joe) Borgert; his son, Alan (Tiffanie) Gustin; 4 grandchildren, Justin and Leah Watkins, Anna and Ella Gustin; mother, Viola F. Dalton; sister, Debbie Gray; brother, Dana Gustin and numerous nieces and nephews.
