EVANS, TIMOTHY EDWARD "TIM", age 51, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton.
Born in Dayton, Ohio on May 21, 1960, the son of Howard "Bud" Evans and Kathleen "Kitty" Rapp (Evans) and graduated from Belmont High School in 1978.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Kitty Rapp and his beloved grandfather, Edward Volk and great-grandmother, Myrtle Lemmons. His father, Bud Evans, passed away in a car accident when Tim was three. Tim was an amazing athlete and excelled in football and baseball. He was an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He lived and breathed sports. Tim also was a painter by profession all his life.
He is survived by his beautiful children, Justin (Jennifer) Evans and Karisa (Charlie) Steed. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kale Evans and Paisley Steed. Tim is further survived by his beloved grandmother, Lorena Volk; his sisters, Sherri (Lon) Richardson and Jody Evans; his devoted aunt, Shirley Trimborn; his uncle who was more like a brother, Ed (Bev) Volk; his niece and nephews, Lyndsay Foster; Kevin (Melanie) McGovern and Matt McGovern; his great nieces and nephew, Raegan, Lux and Dohnavan; his cousins, Melissa, Christina and Nicholas Pohlablen.
Tim is also survived by his devoted, loving partner of 14 years, Michele Caldwell. Tim cherished their dogs, McKenzie, Willow, Baelie and Sadielynn. Tim had a group of life-long friends who survive him, Mark Derham, Billy Ryan, Mark Peters, Jerry Shaw, Mike Roth, Scott Creech and Bob Walters, among others.
To know Tim was to know a handsome, charming, funny young man. He could always make you laugh and charm you to get his way. His wonderful personality will be missed by all.
Tim had a strong faith and read his Bible daily. Rest baby brother and listen to your "Journey" songs as you begin your journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Thanks to the many nurses and aides who took care of Tim and our family at Hospice, especially Beth, Steve, Addy, Lyn, Joan and Sharon (social worker). Words are not enough.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning immediately at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd.
