Timothy P. "Tim" Clark, 57, of Holly Springs, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday June 18, 2019 at SECU Hospice Home of UNC, in Pittsboro, NC.
Tim was born and raised in Moraine, Ohio. After graduating from Fairmont West High School in 1979 he attended Hyles Anderson College.
Tim pursued a career in IT spending 23 years at Lexis Nexis before relocating with his family to North Carolina in 2008. He finished his career as a Data Center Operations Manager with Blue Cross Blue Shield NC, which later transitioned to Fujitsu North America.
Tim had natural athletic ability. He was known throughout the neighborhood for his fade-away jump shot. When playing softball, he would often joke he had to hit home runs because he wasn't fast enough to get around the bases otherwise.
That statement epitomizes Tim: humor and humility. He made people laugh and feel better. He was a gifted story teller and typically added his own moral to the end. People were drawn to him and enjoyed being around him.
During his illness, Tim defied the sarcoma prognosis and statistics by out living doctor's expectations on multiple occasions. More than once the family was summoned because his time of entering Heaven was close, but then thankfully they returned home as Tim rebounded and continued to fight. Throughout his battle he never complained about the pain and all that he endured.
Tim loved his family and their family gatherings. He always had a smile, a joke, or a compliment. Tim had a positive attitude and chose to see the good in people. Only eternity will reveal the number of lives Tim impacted. He will be missed beyond words.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandmother, Daisy "Granny" Lambert; and brother-in-law Stan Paul.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Tami (Jeffries); daughter, Graci; son, Eaden; parents, Ross & Opal Clark; parents-in-law, Jeff & Luci Jeffries; sisters, Sherry (Bob) Moore, and Robin Paul; brother, Matt (Kim) Clark; brother-in-law, Mark Jeffries; nephew, Dusty Paul; nieces Kayla Clark, Kourtney (Luke) Edwards, Amber Moore, Mattie Clark, and Marissa Clark; and a multitude of extended family members and friends who feel like family.
