Tilman Elmer Dean

October 8, 1926 — November 28, 2012

Tilman Elmer Dean, age 86, of Beavercreek, passed away November 28, 2012. Tilman was preceded in death by his parents, Brice and Katie Dean (Rowland); three brothers, Sanford, Ray and James; two sisters, Arlene Hays and Mary Ellen VanAusdal. Tilman is survived by his loving wife, June Dean (Will); three children, Daniel, of Tempe, AZ, Darcel, of Miami Township, OH, and David, of Winnemucca, NV; grandson, Joshua, of Flagstaff, AZ; two brothers, David Eugene (Daisy), of Union City, IN and Jesse (Charlotte), of Xenia, OH; sister, Barbara Becker (Carl), of Rixeyville, VA; many nieces, nephews, other family members and good friends. Tilman honorably served his country in the United States Navy and Army. He worked for many years at NCR and retired from Miami Valley RTA. Tilman was an avid golfer. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Xenia. He loved singing with The Faithful Men for many years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, where the family will receive friends for an hour prior from 3:00-4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tilman's memory to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
