Thurman Yates

YATES, Thurman, of Kettering, OH, went to be with The Lord on October 18, 2009, while at University Hospital in Cincinnati, due to a sudden illness.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Lois, his son, Ed and his wife Janet Yates, three grandchildren: Christine and husband Dave Knee, Brian Yates and Alicia Yates, all currently residing in the Kettering area. One brother, George Yates, and four sisters, Evelyn Turner, Katie Turner, Judy Lyall, and Joyce Thacker, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Thurman was retired after 43 years of employment with Montgomery County. He will always be remembered as a kind loving husband, dad, and grandpa.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Moraine Heights Baptist Church, 5661 Munger Rd., Miami Twp., where Thurman was a member. Visitation will be Thursday Oct. 22 at 11:00 am till time of service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Terrell Hudson officiating.
