Thomas Lawrence Zimmerman, age 72 of Tipp City, passed away on August 10, 2021 at his home, surrounded by family. Tom was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Rose Marie Zimmerman on June 17, 1949.
Tom retired from Paxar Graphics after working there for 38 years and went on to work at Zimmerman Boring and Excavating for many years. He worked very hard to take care of his family which meant everything to him. Tom was a very loving and caring man who always put everyone else first. Tom was a very devoted grandfather, and he made time to go to all their sporting events. If any of his grandchildren needed anything, he made sure they had it. Tom loved all his grandchildren very much and he showed it.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Zimmerman, sister, Barbara Kavy, brother in law, Joe Kavy, Mother in law, Martha Hanshaw.
Tom will be remembered by his loving wife of 38 years, Sherry Zimmerman; children, Bobby, Scott, and Tommy; grandchildren, Robert, Cheyann, Anna, Noah, Justin, Brandon, Travis, Rachael, Ryan, Kirstin, and Toby; great grandchildren Maverick D, Tinsley, Maverick Z, Bryson and Brantley; daughter-in-law Bridget Zimmerman; siblings, Donald (Elysee) Zimmerman, Geraldine (Bill) Slattery, Carolyn (Daniel) Grossman, Shirley (John) Carlin, James (Vickie) Zimmerman, John (Judy) Zimmerman, Tony (Monica) Zimmerman, Mary (Carl) Paulus, Christine (Dwayne) Durr, Rita Zimmerman, Leona (Angelo) Manzo, Joe (Lisa) Zimmerman, Bob Pack and many other loving family and friends.
There will be a visitation 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 18th at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Celebrant Father Kyle Schnippel, will be held at 11:00 am at St. Peters Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, Ohio. A Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Avenue, Dayton, Ohio.
