Thomas W. Salomon, age 86 passed away on January 28, 2014. After years with Parkinson's, he has been set free to spend eternity as promised with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Tom was born on January 12, 1928 to C.A. and Irmel Salomon who along with his sister Eileen McKelvey Stanfill preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara, and four daughters: Karen (Scott) Costello, Lori (Bob) Wheeler, Becky (Steve) Kepner and Sandra (Lance) Savasuk. Five Grandchildren: Jenny (Gary) Coaston , Justin (Tamara) Kepner, Olivia Kepner, Rachel Savasuk and Lauren Savasuk as well as seven great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Roosevelt H.S. in 1946, Tom served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a medical technician at the Houston Naval Base Hospital. After his Honorable Discharge, he was employed at Delco-Moraine Division of General Motors for 36 years as a Technician in the Engineering Lab and retired in 1987. Tom was a long-time member of Patterson Park Church and active in the church choir for many years.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM, Sat., Feb. 1, 2014 at Patterson Park Church, 3655 E. Patterson Road, Beavercreek, OH 45430 with a funeral service following at 5:00 PM. Pastor John Mohler officiating.
Private burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Patterson Park Church.
