Thomas "Tom" Schermer

Thomas "Tom" Schermer, age 79, of Dayton, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Tom was born on August 18, 1944 to the late Floyd Carl & Irene Alice (Kelly) Schermer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Patsy Lee Schermer; sister, Dolores Schermer; and brothers, Floyd Schermer Jr. and Richard Schermer.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Mary (Gary Sr.) Bowling; grandson, Gary Bowling Jr.; granddaughters, Ashley (Tony) Ross and Brandy Gray; great-granddaughter, Luna Whitaker; sister, Patricia "Pat" Posthumus; brothers, Robert Schermer and Terry Schermer; nephew, Mark Gray; and many other relatives and friends.
Tom attended Marston Middle School and Claremont High School in San Diego, CA. He proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Army. Tom collected old radios, records and miniature license plates. He enjoyed working on cars and listening to music-especially country from the 1950's and 60's. Tom worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was a member of Old Pathway Pentecostal Church in Riverside, OH.
