Thomas Edison Golden

Thomas Edison "Tom" Golden, 86 of Dayton, passed away on July 23, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton after a short illness. He was born on October 6, 1935 in Kiddville, Kentucky to William and Erie Golden.

He married the love of his life, Goldie "Laverne" (Caudill) Golden on April 1, 1960

He is preceded in death by his father Bill Golden; mother, Erie (Young) Golden; brother, Dr. Bill Golden; grandson, Alex Golden and extended family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Goldie "Laverne" Golden; his children, Tom (Cindy) Golden, Clint Golden, Paul (Bobbie) Golden; 3 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and his sister, Margie Nevins. Thomas is also survived by numerous family and friends.

He was devoted to God, graduated from Henry Central High School and University of Kentucky. Joined the Navy. He worked various jobs after McCalls closed including security, transporter, small engine repair, to name a few. Tom enjoyed studying the bible, reading, working in the garden and yard. He was devoted to spreading God's word. The most important thing to Tom was his family and his faith. He was a member of Moraine Heights Baptist Church most of his adult life and served as chairman of the Deacons. Thomas is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439. Thomas will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
