Thomas "Tom" G. Girard, age 92, of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 22, 2021. He was born November 9, 1929 son of the late Arthur and Rose Girard.
He is survived by his sons, Greg Girard (Ellen), Dave Girard (Shawn), and Ken Girard (Fawn); grandchildren; Brad (Melissa), Michelle, Rachel, Kelsey, and Talc; great grandchildren; Riley, Mason, Oaklyn and Adeline; sister, Kathleen Girard Gauby; as well as many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rose Girard; his wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen Huelsman Girard; brother, Robert (Pat) Girard, and in the twilight of their lives, his companion of eight years Linda Spyridon.
Tom grew up in Dayton and graduated from Chaminade High School. He furthered his education at Miami Jacobs College in Business. He worked at the American Lubricants Company for most of his career, where he was Vice President Sales Manager. He was a great family man who loved spending time with his wife and boys doing things such as; camping, boating, waterskiing (into his eighties), fishing, golfing, and hiking. He was a devoted husband taking care of his wife, Mary, as she battled Alzheimer's until her death. In his later years, with his companion, Linda, they enjoyed going to different restaurants, long rides in the country, and watching Ohio State Football. Tom never met a stranger, was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Luke Catholic Church (1440 North Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
Tom will be laid to rest at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
