Thomas Sidney Sayre, age 74, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. Tom was born March 17, 1943 in Vincennes, Indiana to J.B. and Norma (Henderson) Sayre who preceded him in death. He graduated in 1961 from Lincoln High School. He played alto sax in an area wide known band, The Seventeens. He also played music in the early years around Ohio. In 1965, Tom moved his family to Ohio and went to work at Dayton Sure-Grip & Shore. He was a draftsman/engineer for 38 years when he retired.
Tom married Linda (Cunningham) Sayre June 26, 1961. They have two children, Thomas Ray Sayre (Jennifer) and Angela Lynne Sayre House (Jerry), 3 grandchildren, Thomas Jay, Nicholas Wayne Bryant (Diana) and Kaitlynne Sayre House. Great-grandson Braden Wayne Bryant. Step granddaughters, Lee Anne House (Jason Kramer), Cassie House Darr (Jared) and Tara House Cavo (Matt). 5 step great-granddaughters and 2 step great-grandsons.
He also leaves his sister, Linda Faye Sayre Langdon (Don) along with nephew, Dean Langdon (Janis), niece Lisa Langdon Gunn (Will) and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation to follow death. There will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton or Moose Charities in Tom's name.
