Thomas "Jim" Ramsey
March 21, 1940 — February 3, 2019
Thomas James Ramsey, age 78 of Moraine, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at The Laurels of West Carrollton. He was born March 21, 1940 in Greenup, Illinois to the late Thomas and Retha (Adams) Ramsey.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Shirley Ramsey; a son, Paul Ramsey and brother, Robert Ramsey.
Jim is survived by his children, Michael (Paula) Ramsey, Wendy (Poncho) Reyes and Jenny (Richard) McGuire; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as many other extended family.
Jim was a high school graduate and obtained an Associate Degree. He enjoyed a long career as an employee of General Motors building air conditioners for 36 years before retiring. Jim loved to fly and spent a good bit of time working on his airplane. He was very artistic; he spent time painting and playing music in his spare time. Jim was also mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything. Jim will always be remembered for having his own way of doings things.
