Thomas "Buck" Morrison, born September 7, 1943 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Albert & Maggie Morrison departed this life Friday, July 15, 2022.
He met and married Patricia Smith-Morrison; to this union 2 children, Yvette "Bonnie" and Kelly were born.
Thomas relocated to Dayton, Ohio, where he met and married Sheryl Hammond-Morrison; to this union 2 children, Tamika and Phillip were born.
He was a very hard worker with 41 years at Delphi Chassis General Motors. Thomas was a devoted member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and male chorus member. He was a friend of Bill W. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert W. Morrison; sister, Bettye Clemmons; and grandson, Kelley Morrison.
Thomas leaves to morn his passing his wife, Sheryl R. Morrison; children, Yvette Morrison & her husband, William Williams, Kelly D. Morrison, Tamika D. Morrison and Phillip D.M. Morrison (caregiver) all of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Gwendolyn Carter of Washington D.C. and Pamela Morrison of Dayton, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Paula Martin & her husband, Robert and Paulette Duerson of Dayton, Ohio; aunt Bernice Taylor & her husband Arthur of Silver Spring, MD; adoptive brother-in-Christ and friend going back to 1968, James Chappell; grandchildren, Veontae Montgomery, Ebony Byrd, LaToya Byrd, Ja'Karl Blair and Da'Laquan Williams; 7 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his Deacon brothers-in-Christ. The family would like to thank the staff at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 1:30pm.
