Thomas Murray

MURRAY Thomas J. 68 of Dayton; passed away Wednesday 6/23/04 at Good Samaritan Hospital with his family by his side. Tom was actively involved for 46 yrs. as a member of the Electricians Local No. 82 IBEW. He retired in Dec. 03 after holding 3 positions; a board member of the Electricians Credit Union, a Health & Welfare Trustee & a Pension Fund Trustee. Thomas was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force A/2C (P), a life member of the VFW Post 4239 in Sidney & the North Dayton Sportsclub. He was preceded by his parents, Charles & Ruth; a brother, Allen; step-mother, Mercedes (Sadie) Murray. Survivors include: his loving wife, Ruth (VanFossen) Murray; 3 children, Mary (Jeff) Sturgill, Thomas Jr. (Barbara) & Timothy Murray; 6 step-children, Margie (John) Schoomaker, Tracy (Tim) Kearns, Cheryl Winemiller, Bruce (Debra), Scott (Sharon), Kent (Marcia) VanFossen and their children; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Sturgill, Amber & Tiffany Murray, Misty & Jason Sturgill; 3 siblings, James (Janet), Charles Murray & Patricia (Rick) Edsall; numerous nieces, nephews & a host of other family and friends. Services will be held 11am Monday 6/28/04 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 5401 N. Main St. Dayton OH. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Tipp City OH. Family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm on Sunday 6/27/04 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Tom will be forever remembered as a
