Thomas Lynn Martin

MARTIN, Thomas Lynn, age 69, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom is survived by his children, Tommy and Mindy Martin; siblings, Phyllis Welling, George (Malvie) Martin, and Beverly (Jack) Ramey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas worked for the Golden Nugget Pancake House for 40+ years, where the staff and co-workers became like a second family to him. His passion and hobby was raising and racing Standardbred horses with his brother, George. He was a loving and devoted father, whom will be dearly missed by those who knew him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gina and Bobby, Tom's caregivers during his illness and Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
