Thomas N Koon

KOON, Thomas "Tom", N., age 79 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2017. Tom was born in Dayton to the late Roy and Mable Koon. He attended Stivers High School. Tom was a retired Teamster. He was a member of the Day-Hi Club and danced for over 17 years with the Trojan Squares square-dancing club with his late wife, Judy.

Tom was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Miamisburg. He was an avid Red's fan. In his free time he enjoyed listening to music, singing, and collecting clowns and model cars. Tom will be remembered for his kindness and generosity; he never knew a stranger. He was a caring and compassionate man, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Koon, siblings, Alice, Leroy, Myrtle, and David; great-grandson, Connor; and son-in-law, Dean Clark.

Tom leaves to cherish his memory, children, Cynthia Clark, Jennifer Loughnane, and Jeffery (Sally) Koon; special friend, Helen; 8 grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Jones, Beverley (Bill)Ledbetter, and Darlene (George) Sams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road) on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 6pm - 9pm. A funeral service will be held the following day (Thursday, December 21, 2017) at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
