Thomas Kidd

Thomas H. Kidd, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 87 of Dayton, passed away July 5, 2014. He was born July 25, 1926 in Rockford, TN to the late Horace and Lina Kidd. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Kidd; granddaughter, Bonnie Jeffries; and two brothers, Homer and Bob Kidd.

Tom is survived by his children: Sue (Rick) Roberts, Charlene (Jeff) Jeffries, Allison (Randy) Reno, Thomas Kidd and Michael (Melody) Kidd; grandchildren: Melissa, Jeff, Jon, Jessie, Gina, Tony, Mike, Kristen, Emily, Thomas, Veronica and Anna; and 9 great grandchildren.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Blue Army and VFW. Tom was an avid reader, card player and fisherman. He was a devout Catholic and lived the Christian life by example.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
