Thomas Grant "Tom" Hill, age 82, of Dayton, passed away on November 7, 2021, at Kettering Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pickett County, Tennessee, on November 2, 1939, the son of the late Grover and Pansy Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Willard, Wilburn, Dale, Elworth, Dee, Valda, Jane, Vos and Vannie Kay.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Helen Hill; his loving daughter, Patricia Newman; dear grandchildren, Ian (Dani) Wilder Marshall and Timothy Grant Marshall; great grandchildren, Eleanor Brianna Marshall and Penelope Faye Marshall; and many other loving family and friends.
He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army. Tom retired from General Motors, where he was employed for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering with many projects, reading and many other hobbies which kept him busy. Tom was a very hard working man and above anything else, he adored his family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
