Thomas H. Jenkins

Thomas H. Jenkins, age 89, of St. Leonard's in Centerville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2016.
Tom was born in Dayton on June 27, 1927 to the late Charles & Ethel Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jenkins and brother, Lee Jenkins.
He is survived by his children, Dave (Rebecca) Jenkins, Dan (Karen) Jenkins and Annette (Scott) Arnold; grandchildren, Amanda Jenkins, Justin and Kelsey Secor, Samantha and Vanessa Arnold; and great-grandchildren, Lacey Jenkins, Cassidy Gornes and Tristan Hudson.
Thomas served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He attended Ohio University, Wright State and University of Dayton. Thomas spent his working career at DP&L and High Voltage Maintenance. He taught Sunday school at the Memorial Methodist Church, was a Cub Scout Leader, and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and St. Leonard's. Thomas was an avid fisherman, bridge player and collected military memorabilia. Tom was best known for repairing broken toys and anything electrical for friends and family.
Thomas will be laid to rest with his wife, Nancy at Woodland Cemetery.
