1937 - 2023
Thomas J. Faulkner, of Kettering, passed away May 10, 2023.
Tom was born in Vandalia, Ohio on October 30, 1937 to Bob and June Faulkner. Tom grew up in Vandalia and was the oldest of six children. He graduated from Vandalia Butler High School and was stationed at Ft. Benning in Georgia after joining the army. While in Georgia he met his wife to be, Adrian Chapman, and married on January 12, 1963. They settled in Dayton, Ohio where Tom worked at Defense Electronics Supply Center. He retired from DESC in 1993.
Tom enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, fishing & hunting, teaching first grade Sunday School, and spending time with family and friends.
Tom loved the Lord and was a faithful servant, sharing his faith freely. God filled his heart with love for others. He was generous and a great example to everyone who knew him.
Tom is survived by his three children; daughter Wendy Camplin of Virginia, daughter Marlo Edwards of Florida, son Tommy Faulkner of Dayton, and 8 grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Sunday, May 21 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432
Funeral service immediately following at 4:00 p.m.
Graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428, Shelter B.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillsdale College, 33 East College Street, Hillsdale, MI 49242 or the NRA in Tom's memory.
