Thomas F. Krein, age 91, of Washington Township, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009. He was born August 11, 1917 in Dayton, to the late Frank and Rosa Krein. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Thomas worked at Frigidaire for 35 years then after retiring he resided in Sarasota Florida for 37 years. For the past 5 years he lived in Washington Township. Thomas was proceeded in death by his brother Dick Krein. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosemary "Rose" Krein; children, Susan (Bob) Gault, of Washington Township, Joyce Hinders and Janice (Tony) Raffa, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jody (Scott Clark) Fecher, of Miami Township, Joseph (Mollie) Nelson, of Beavercreek and John Raffa, of Atlanta; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Frank (Bev) Krein, of Lakewood Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a memorial service held at the chapel in Calvary cemetery on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends a half hour before the service.
