Thomas G. "Jerry" Engle, Jr.

Thomas G. "Jerry" Engle, Jr., age 73, of Xenia, passed away March 25, 2025. Jerry was born in Alpha, Ohio on March 3, 1952 to the late Thomas and Carlene Engle.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Engle; and his nephew, Davin Scarlett.

He is survived by loving wife of 32 years, Melissa Engle (Cooper); son, Josh Engle; sister, Kathy Scarlett; nieces, Jessica Cooper, Brittany Paulus, Lindsay Pohlkotte, Samantha Allen, Danielle Engle, Amy Cusick and Kassie Scarlett-McIntyre; brother-in-law, Tony (Mary) Cooper; sister-in-law, Noreen Engle; dogs, Ellie and Gizmo; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Jerry was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam.

Prior to retiring at Gordon Food Service, he managed several restaurants and bars in the Dayton area.

In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, stock car racing, horse racing and spending time with his family.

Jerry was loving, compassionate, funny and always there for his family.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am.

Jerry will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia (281 Dayton Ave, Xenia) following the service.
