Thomas Eugene "Tom" Dunn, age 57, was compassionate, humble, and a wee bit cantankerous on occasion, but a most beloved man. He was born June 30, 1960 in Tiffin, Ohio.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; his maternal grandparents, Marcus and Gertrude Howard; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Susie Dunn; uncles, Arthur Dunn and Herbert Howard; and aunts, Fran Sherman, LaVonne Hendrickson, and Evelyn Wilson.
Tom is survived by his wife, Renee; mother, Jacqueline; sister, Deborah; two brothers, David (Robin) and Stephen (Donna Kay); and numerous cousins and friends.
A few of Tom's passions were music; he was one of the founding members of the bands, Mongrels and Rivet; sports: Tom was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan;
and maps, devoting his life to studying cartography.
Tom started drawing as a child; cartoons and maps. He turned his passion into a career after earning his Master's Degree from The University of Akron. He went on to work with Woolpert of Dayton as a GIS Technician.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel at 12pm. Visitation for two hours prior to service (10am - 12pm). Burial to follow at Koontz Cemetery, Jeffersonville, OH. Rev. Matthew Sherman will officiate services with music provided by Greg Howard and Esther Fyock.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
