Thomas Charles Bannister Sr., age 80, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 28, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan.
Thomas retired from the United States Air Force and the Detroit Free Press.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bannister; mother, Eleanor Bishop; wife, Marylin Robinson; wife, Hazel Oliver; sister, Trudy Desalvo; brother, Daniel Bannister; son-in-law, Ronald Lazarowicz and companion, Carol Allen. Thomas is survived by his three daughters, Debera Bannister, Patricia Lazarowicz and Gina Hughes; three sons, Kenneth Bannister, Joseph Bannister and Thomas Bannister Jr. and sister, Virginia Robinson. He is also survived 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
