Thomas Carl Langford Sr

Thomas Carl Langford Sr., age 88, of West Carrollton passed away March 8, 2015. He was born on February 23, 1927 in Overton County, TN to the late Joseph and Sallie Langford. Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Langford; sister, Miriam Lois Langford; and daughter-in-law Donna Langford.

Carl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joann Langford; children: Thomas Carl Langford Jr. (Connie), Keith Langford (Jeanne), Sharon Morgan (Derral), and Kevin Langford; sister, Dessie Opal Smith (Elmer); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a Seaman 1st Class during WWII. He worked as a tool maker at General Motors-Delco for 42 years before retiring and was a long-time member of the Wesleyan Church of West Carrollton.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday. Interment to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl's name to The Hospice of Dayton.
