Broerman, Thomas Marion, age 78, of Centerville, passed away October 25, 2017.
He was born July 3, 1939 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Elmer C. and Mary (Herring) Broerman. After graduating from Lehman High School in 1957, Tom entered the US Navy and served for 4 years. After his Naval service, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for several years before becoming a self-employed Snap-On Tools salesman and owner of T&R Production Sales.
Tom was a man of many talents. He started working with his hands as a young boy, from building a cabin as a teenager to his own home additions later in life. Tom served as his own electrician, plumber, and auto mechanic. Tom even built his own semi-trailer which he used for Snap-On Tools and later long-distance deliveries.
Tom was an excellent father, doting husband, and devout Catholic. As a father and grandfather, the greatest gift he ever gave was his gift of Faith. Tom was a man of moral conviction. Every decision and action was based on his faith and moral beliefs. Tom was entirely devoted to Mary, the Blessed Mother, and Jesus Christ, King of All Nations. Tom was a longtime member of Emmanuel Catholic Church and supported the American Life League.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Broerman.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dee" (Caulfield) Broerman; his three daughters, Vilena Hutchison and husband, Josh, Tonya Broerman, Angela Lauofo and husband, Faupo; step-daughter, Maria Urso; six grandchildren, Thomas R. Broerman and wife and son, Rendy and Glenn, Brianna Lauofo, Lupelele Lauofo, Marianna Lauofo, Matthew Lauofo, and Michael Lauofo; sister, Elisabeth Orehowsky and husband, Frank; and several nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Father Angelo, Father Bonaventure, Father Pleiman, family, friends, and all Tom's caretakers throughout the years and at the end of his life journey.
