Theodore Joseph Porumb, Sr., 84 of Dayton, OH, departed this life on May 9, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Ann Porumb; son, Walter Paul Porumb; sisters, Rose, Ann; brothers, Earl, John.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, sons, Ted Jr. (Gail), Tony, Jerry, Mark (Denise); daughters, LouAnn (Ray), Teresa (Jerry), Marcia (John); step-son, Chris; step-daughter, Marijo (Craig); sister, Florence (Paul); eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Ted served during the Korean War from 1950-1952 in the U.S. Army. He retired as a plumber of Local 162. He was a member of VFW Post 3283, AmVets 24, American Legion 619. Ted was a lifetime member of Polish Club and American Slovak Club. He was also a member of Dayton Bowlers Hall Of Fame inducted in 1980. Ted was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, and most of all loved his family.
