Thelma Underwood

Underwood, Thelma Amy, age 78, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Thelma was born September 26, 1931 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Coy & Sylvena (Stone) Qualls. Thelma is survived by her husband of 57 years: Harry T. Underwood and she also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Steven Neal Underwood; brother: Herman Qualls; and sisters: Joyce Maddix and Jewell Fannin McGlone. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Beavertown Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Thelma.
