PARTON, Thelma, age 80, of Riverside, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. She was born in Gobey, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, US Army 1st SGT Manuel Parton, Jr.; daughter, Gloria Elaine Parton; both parents, John W. and Mauda (Davis) Terry; sisters, Oma Maiden, Mildred Dyer and Bessie Richardson.
She is survived by her sister, Audrey Griffith of Tennessee; brothers, Jesse Terry of California and Paul Terry of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Thelma was a faithful member of Spinning Road Baptist Church where she had many dear friends.
She retired from Elder Beerman's in Eastown after 26 years.
Burial and funeral services will be held in Wartburg, Tennessee, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Schubert Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spinning Road Baptist Church in Thelma's memory
