Thelma M. Pierce

Thelma M. Pierce, age 92 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024. She was born February 10, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Roland and Agnes Lloyd.

Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She retired from Elder-Beerman shoe sales department as a supervisor after many years of employment. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and flowers. She was a faithful Christian who loved God. Thelma loved animals, especially her cats. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Pierce; special friend, James Wiley Sr.; son, Donald A. Pierce; daughters, Elsie Olesen and Marie Webb; siblings, Carl Lloyd, Kenneth Lloyd, Robert Lloyd, Roland "Bud" Lloyd, Shirley Stinnette, and Virginia Johnston.

Thelma is survived by her daughter, Robin (Bobby) Miley; son, James (Missy) Wiley Jr.; grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandi (Eddie), Wade, Tiffany M., Jesse, Victoria (Desi), Katelynn, Donald "Don", and Tiffany (Brandon); great grandchildren, Brittany, Jasmine (Charles), Ciera, Troy, Johnothon, Gabrielle, Courtney, Matthew, Brooklynn, Aliya, Jacob, Shawn, Dakotah, and Ryland; several great great grandchildren; sisters, Marcella "Marty", Edith, and Carol; special nephew, Christopher Lloyd; many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:30pm at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 11890 North Dixie, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. 

Memorial contributions can be made in Thelma's honor to Hospice of Dayton, Montgomery County Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.
