Thelma L. Downey, age 94 of Dayton, reunited with her husband, James L. Downey on November 4, 2019. She was born on May 6, 1925 in Hamilton, OH to the late Hobert and Bertha (Spurlock) Mallicote. In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Delbert Mallicote; sisters, Betty Newman and Marilyn Butler.
She is survived by her son, Jim "Pat" (Kathy) Downey; 6 grandchildren, Jason (Cassie) Sprinkle, Jeremy (Jennifer) Downey, Zachary (Emily) Downey, Stephanie (Richard) McEnheimer, Benjamin (Natalie) Downey and Noelle Downey; 7 great-grandchildren, Laney, Veronica, Sylvia, Rosemary, William, Norah and Rowan; extended family and dear friends.
Thelma was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all.
Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
