Burns, Thelma B., age 90, of Washington Township, passed onto the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her home due to natural causes.
She was born in Cave City, Kentucky on October 16, 1923 to the late Herbert & Bertha (Toohey) Turner. Thelma retired from Delco in Dayton after 25 years of service and she was a member of Belmont Church of Christ. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Paul Ring; second husband: Bruce Burns; brothers: James & Edmond Lee Turner; and step son: Bill Burns. She is survived by her brother: Ernest J. Turner; sisters: Magdaline Jordan, Patricia Ann Taylor and Louvenia Duvall; step son: Mark (Theresa) Burns; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
