The Honorable Judson L. Shattuck
Age 69, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Judge Shattuck was preceded in death by his first wife, June England Shattuck in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Lista J. (Varner) Shattuck; three children, Judson L. Shattuck III, George D. Shattuck and Saundra C. (her husband, Alan) Williamson; two step-children, Dana M. Varner and Stephen H. (his wife, Tracy) Varner; four grandchildren, Kayla and Justin Williamson, Logan and Harrison (their mother, Jenny) Shattuck; and by one brother, Douglas X. Shattuck.
Judge Shattuck retired in 2002 from the Common Pleas Court, Domestic Relations Division, after having served 28 years on the bench. After retiring, he continued to hear cases as a circuit court judge traveling to cities throughout Ohio.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
