Terry Willen

Terry Willen, age 64, of Kettering passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was born January 24, 1957 in Dayton to the late Richard and Hlin Schlenbaker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Clara Baker; and many fur-babies over the years.

Terry is survived by her husband of nearly 36 years, Jay Willen; children, Lindsey (Erich) Rathje & Ryan (Sara) Willen; grandchildren whom she adored, Cameron & Jayce; sister, Kris (Rick) Klopf; numerous relatives in Iceland; as well as many friends.

If you knew Terry, you knew she had the biggest, most caring heart. Saying she loved animals was an understatement. The Willen household was always a zoo and she rescued lots of critters over the years. Terry was the Queen of Halloween! She threw the BEST Halloween parties and the decor was always on point! She also put on several haunted houses over the years that lots of people were able to enjoy. Most importantly, she loved her family fiercely. She will be deeply and sorely missed by all of us.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering , OH 45439). A Celebration of Life will begin at 7 pm.
