Terry L. Smith

Terry L. Smith, age 62, of Dayton, passed away August 5, 2023. He was born April 14, 1961 in Hyden, KY. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Terry R. Smith; uncle, Bill Smith; and best friend, Randy.

Terry is survived his mother, Helen Smith; wife of 10 years, Pauline Smith; children: Meghan French, Dakota Smith and Tyler Smith; step-sons: Jonathon, Jamie and Joseph Hoskins; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson on the way; brother, Fabian Smith (Melissa); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Terry was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard for 18 years. He was a former coal miner and worked for his families business, Pyramid Heating and Cooling for many years. Terry loved 4-wheeling, motorcycles, fishing and guns.

Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
