Terese Adele Orlando, age 79 of Centerville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Kettering Hospital. She was born June 5, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Anthony and Adele Spauone.
Terese attended Andrew Jackson High School in St. Albans, Queens, New York. She played volleyball and also enjoyed bowling. Terese and her husband, Andrew, got married in 1966 at St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church in East Rockaway, New York. They relocated from New York to Indiana in 1993, where their two boys, Andrew and Robert, attended Indiana University in Bloomington. In 2018, they moved to Centerville, Ohio to be closer to family. Terese was an avid reader who read the Bible daily. She also enjoyed ceramics, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and she was known for sneaking them all kinds of candy. She had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for her keen sense of hearing - she never missed a thing. Most of all, she loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Terese is survived by her husband of 57+ years, Andrew; sons, Andrew (Selina) Orlando, Robert (Gina) Orlando; grandchildren, Julia, Matthew, Naomi, Ruth, and Avery; as well as many loved ones and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-sister, Maria Spauone.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Incarnation Catholic Parish (55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville, OH 45459).
