Teresa Noreen Smithhart-Smith

Teresa Noreen "Tess" Smithhart-Smith, age 72 of Washington Township, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at Elmcroft in Washington Township. She was born June 10, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late William and Eileen Unverferth.
Tess is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Unverferth and nephew, James Unverferth.
She is survived by her by her previous husband, Charles Smithhart; son, William Charles (Heather Pressley) Smithhart; daughter, Jennifer Eileen Smithhart; two brothers, William and Jerome (Sandy) Unverferth; niece, Melissa Unverferth; niece by marriage, Molly Unverferth; Molly and Jim's children, Drake, Tanner, and Carson. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Tess is known for her quick wit and sense of humor. Her laughter was contagious. In her spare time she could be found volunteering at Hospice of Dayton, watching Cincinnati Bengals games, and spending time with her beloved pets.
A celebration of life and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hospice of Miami Valley or The Alzheimer's Association of Miami Valley.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Miami Valley and at Elmcroft of Washington Township. Your kind words and support were priceless during this difficult time.
