Ted Morgan
March 13, 1923 — April 3, 2019
Ted Morgan, age 96 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Dayton V.A. Hospice Center. He was born March 13, 1923 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of Will and Sarah Morgan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bertha Morgan; infant son Michael; sisters, Bernice Asher, Faye Hensley, Marie Rowland and Ethel Morgan; brother and best friend Carl Morgan; son-in-law Theodore R. Hayes.
Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WW II. He was an avid outdoors man and gardener. Charter member of East Dayton Baptist Church and current member of Patterson Park Church. He retired from General Motors Delco Products. He enjoyed being PaPaw to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ted is survived by his daughters, Theda Hayes and Regina A. (Michael) Rhinehart; sister, Gladys Stidham; grandchildren Alissa (Lee) Shuster, Raymond (Tami) Hayes, Ruth (Robert) Mitchell, Amanda (Daniel) Kerns; great grandchildren Haylee and Michael Shuster, Miriam and William Hayes, Annmarie Mitchell, Morgan, Taylor and Ethan Kerns. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on April 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be April 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VA Hospice Center 4100 W. Third St. Dayton, OH 45428 or Patterson Park Church 3655 E. Patterson RD . Beavercreek, OH 45430 in the name of Ted Morgan.
