Tarra Rodgers

Tarra L. Rodgers, age 70 of Dayton, passed away April 3, 2011. She was born March 3, 1941 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Samuel and Fern Kurtz. In addition to her parents, Tarra was preceded in death by Bobbie Rodgers; and son-in-law, Jimmy Smith.

Tarra is survived by her daughters: Sheri Smith, Rhonda (Tim) Haller, Karen (Ernie) Kiser and Teesha (Bret) Beard; 7 grandchildren: Tarah, Michael, Britni, Brandon, James, Jaime and Evan; 5 great grandchildren: Alissa, Ava, Brody, Ashton and Elliot; sister, Barbara (Jim) Ruff; and brother, Samuel (Susie) Kurtz.

Tarra was a loving mother who had a heart of gold. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. The family would like to thank The Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and support.
