Tanis Megan Spragg, age 33 of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was born on May 28, 1988 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Robert Spragg and Angela Bertke.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dixie Brown and Mary Ann Spragg; also her grandfather, Virgil Bertke.
Tanis is survived by her parents, Angela (Paul) Bertke and Robert Spragg; four children, Aliyah, Asher, Braxton, and Xyla "Joelle"; sister, Tara Bertke; brother, Adam Snell, Reese Bertke; grandmother, June Bertke; grandfather, Lauriston Brown; and childhood friend, Sarah Bibbs. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Tanis was a kind and gentle soul who adored her children. She loved to read Laural K. Hamilton novels, listen to music, and write as well as color. Dancing with her children and spending time with her mom brought her great joy.
Out of respect for Tanis's wishes, a private service will be held. The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. Her request would have been for you to remember her in your smiles and laughter, rather than grieve her loss.
