Tammy Ware, age 64, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton after a brave hard-fought battle with cancer on March 13 2023. Born July 10, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio, she graduated from Dayton Christian High school and was a dedicated employee of the Dayton Public School system for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Ware, mother Evelyn Williams, father Harold Long Jr, step mom Flora Jean Long and sister Rebekah DeVilbiss.
She was survived by her two canine companions Caesar and Willow, five children Ron (Chrissie) Allison, Philip Allison, Chris (Kara) Ware, Bethany Ware, Tiffany Ware and her step daughter Bobbie Jo Ware. Her nine grandchildren Tabitha, Elizabeth, Tyler, Kiki, Zeryk, Beckham, Gabriel, Christopher Jr. and Kaysen. Her two sisters Penny West-Hagan, Elissa McBee, and her three brothers Harold Long III, Brice Thomas, Matt Thomas, and sister-in-law Debra Ware.
Tammy enjoyed historical camping, outdoor festivals, gardening and creative arts, including: coloring, painting, and ceramics. Tammy loved singing in the choir with her church community as a previous member of South Park United Methodist and current member of Belmont United Methodist church. And most of all, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank Kettering Hospital Oncology and Ohio's Hospice of Dayton staff for their care and consideration of Tammy.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Belmont United Methodist Church, 2701 S. Smithville Road, Dayton, Ohio 45420. Come prepared to share wonderful memories of Tammy.
