Tabatha Jean Hogans Davis, a native of Dayton, OH was born January 7th, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Rose Baker. She graduated from Meadowdale High School and became a foster mother to many young girls and boys. Later she began a career in transportation with the Dayton Public School system, followed by the Regional Transit Authority where she retired.
During her retirement, Tabatha volunteered and spent a majority of her free time at Tiny Scholars University where she worked with young children and mentored teachers. During her life's work she touched the lives of many providing patience, love, compassion and guidance. Tabatha was strong, fearless, and provided valuable light to those around her. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Tabatha was preceded in death by her brother Sylvester Hogans, husband Nathaniel Davis, and mother Rose Baker. Survived by children Eric (Arie), Tony, Precious, and Rose; stepchildren Tyesha and Tanesha; grandchildren Eriana, Enaja, Eniya, Teion, Emoni, Thailand, Erynn, Evan, Torrey, Taeron, and Kayren; godson Maurice; siblings Michael (Tresia), Samantha (Ernest), RL, Mathew, William Deon (Rochell), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 2262 N Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, OH, where the service will begin at 11:00am. Following the services at the church, Tabatha will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens.
