Sylvia Lynn Gravitt, age 63 of Huber Heights, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born February 19, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of James L. and Ida Frances Sparks.
She is preceded in death by her father, James L. Sparks.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Russ; children, Stephanie (Steven) Ison, Stephen Gravitt; mother, Ida Frances Sparks; grandchildren, Isaiah, Isaac, Maliyah and Jacob; siblings, Sharon (Dennis) Mullins, Kim (Cindy) Sparks, Debbie Sparks; in-laws, Russell and Elaine Gravitt, Jeff, David and Debby Gravitt; many special nieces and nephews; beloved Australian Shepherd, Sarah; as well as numerous lifelong friends, including her cherished friends from Northridge High School Class of 1975.
Sylvia retired from the Dayton Education Association, where she made many lifelong friends.
Sylvia will always be remembered by her smile, the twinkle in her eyes, her spunky and loving personality, and she would do anything to help out her family and dear friends. Sylvia loved life, laughing and had beautiful family and friends. She loved exercising, walking in the woods, her dog (Sarah), feeding the birds, spending time at the lake, and taking care of her grandkids in Kentucky.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton ,OH 45420) or Stillwater United Methodist Church (6911 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH 45414).
