Syble Ann Wilson

Syble Ann Wilson, age 87, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2023. She was born in Jefferson, Georgia on January 23, 1936 to the late C. and Lilly Bailey.

She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She was a strong-willed woman who raised five children as a single parent. She was very independent and always had a positive outlook on life. Her maternal presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Syble was preceded in death by her son, James L. Wilson; her brothers: Roosevelt, James, Cleveland and Nathaniel; her sister, Louise; and her special mother, Geneva C. Smith.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Linda A. Williams, Carl (Vickie) Wilson, Charles E. Wilson and Ricky R. Wilson; grandchildren: Lisa, LeVeda, LeVonne, James Jr., Clifford, Carlita, Rick Jr., Marie, Rickita, and Krystal; a host of great-grandchildren; and many cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Following the service, Syble will be laid to rest with family at West Memory Gardens.
