Susie Tarrence

TARRENCE, Susie A., age 98, of Riverside, passed away March 29, 2006. She was born in Steelton, West Virginia, on January 6, 1908 to Selvie and Ella Dunham. She was owner and operator of Saul's Coffee Shoppe and later retired from Capital Dry Cleaners. She loved cooking, providing for her family, and working in her garden along side her beloved dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas F. Tarrence; sisters, Mary Catherine, Della Samantha, Beatrice Pearl, Ethel Mae, Ada Marie; brothers, Dewey, Elzie, Willie, and Lewis Dunham. Susie is survived by her daughter, Judy Tarrence; granddaughter, Deborah Thompson and her husband, Steven; two great-granddaughters, Amanda and Tabitha Thompson (Shawn Dennison); one great-great-granddaughter, Sydney; one sister, Edna Goddard of Paden City, WV. She attended Way of the Cross Church until her health failed. Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Donna Ransdell officiating. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
