Susan Sassaman

SASSAMAN, Susan H., 65, of Huber Heights passed away Sunday March 30, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Allan and Virginia Hirschburg and son Scott Allan Sassaman. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Glenn Sassaman; children Heidi (Robert) Sochia, Lt. Col. Brian (Olga), Steven, and Mark Sassaman. sisters Carol, Betsy, and Diane Hirschburg; 3 grandchildren; many other family and friends, including the Brooks Family, Nancy Beard, Gancie Shaw, and Debbie Hardin. Susan was named mother of the year in 2001 by The Positive Parenting and the Miami Valley Assoc. and former member of the Spina Bifida Assoc. A memorial service will be held 7:00PM Friday, April 4, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM Friday prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the family.
