Susan J. Sampson

Susan J. Sampson, age 84 of Covington, KY, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born September 22, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Lee (Leona) Fischbach (Sampson). She grew up in Ft. Mitchell, KY and graduated from Beechwood High School. Sue attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Bachelor's degree in English and Journalism. She attended Northwestern University in the summers where she studied classical piano. Susan had a long career in the field of Media Production and worked as a Media Executive for Proctor and Gamble for 23 years. She was a very outgoing and active person; throughout her life she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Noon Day of Cincinnati, the Social Register, and the Covington Historical Society. Susan was a gifted photographer, painter, and pianist. She loved listening to classical music, working in her garden, cooking, and reading. What made Susan happiest was spending time with her family, friends, and her many dogs. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Fischbach, Robert Sampson, and Step-Father, Victor Fischbach.

Susan is survived by her Daughter, Kathy Borneman; Son, William Craig (Angela) Borneman Jr.; Grandsons, Steven Scardino, William Craig Borneman, III; Granddaughter, Leila Borneman; and by many other family and friends.
