Susan Marie Mcguinness

Susan Marie McGuinness, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend, age 71, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away quietly in her sleep on September 1, 2022 after a long bout with cancer. She was at home with her family by her side. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 23, 1951, the daughter of the late William and Florence Lorenz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Scott R. McGuinness and sister Janith Boldenweck.

Susan is survived by her husband, Daniel B. McGuinness; son, Troy C. (Jenni) McGuinness; grandchildren Trevor, Katie, and Ean; sister Carole (Gerald) Steffey. Susan worked for years as a Cosmetologist in Royal Oak, MI, She was a long standing member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Beavercreek, OH. In her free time she enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Susan was always there for those she loved and attended numerous athletic events in support of her grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 9:40 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 followed by visitation at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM with Father Bedel officiating. Luncheon is in the church hall after the mass. The Burial Commitment ceremony will be at the Dayton National Cemetery at Commitment Shelter "B" at 2:00 PM.
